Garth pushes the trolley towards the corridor---

Hurling  away two ruffians in his way, while Arcadia smith shouts angrily-catch him you fools follow him! He should not escape!

Garth knocks out one of his pursuers as he thinks-“I have to get to the main street , and I will do it!”

Garth reaches the main street reeling under the influence of knock out gas and spots a policeman-“a policeman! He will help me

Policeman asks Garth – sir, are you in some kind of trouble? Are you sick?

Garth- help me, take me away from this place…

Arcadia smith arrives on the scene—“it is all right officer this man is my patient  a psychiatric case”

Policeman- poor fellow! Now sir you go along with Miss smith.

Arcadia-to her henchmen- Garth is beginning to return, take him inside people and then we will give him the injection..

A bus comes along “a bus! This may be my last chance” –thinks garth as he watches a bus arriving on the spot

Suddenly he shakes off two men holding his arms and jumps on to the speeding bus holding on to the railings.

Helmuth- I will take the car and follow him.

Arcadia- no helmuth! Let him go what does he know? And who is going to believe him?

What is the value of his word against mine… I have powerful friends… if required we will use our influence on lumiere to keep him quiet.

Garth reaches his residence----

Thank god the influence of gas is waning ,tomorrow I will find out what have they done to proff lumiere.

Next day garth  visits proff. Lumiere—“ professor yesterday night I escaped from arcadia smith’s nursing home”

Professor[lighting up his pipe]- escaped? I don’t understand!

Garth relates the events of previous night-“ I heard them carrying out a poison test on justice Galbraith!they have done something evil and unimaginable things to that man!”

It is absurd says professor Lumiere

Garth- and I think they have done the same to you!

Lumiere- Garth ! you are sick!

Garth confronts professor Lumiere—

‘professor listen! To prove if i am right or wrong are you prepared to undergo medical examination?

Lumiere- definitely not! You must be crazy!

Arcadia smith is a wonderful woman and I will not allow you to malign her!

Garth professor that neat and clean pretty little woman scheming and vicious!

Professor suddenly strikes Garth catching him by surprise-“GET OUT” he snarls angrily.

Garth [leaving] now I know for sure that something has happened to you in that nursing home which has turned you in to miss Arcadia smith’s slave!

Lumiere is in deep thought—“ Garth dares to speak like this , he is insane , he wants to harm arcadia smith , I must warn her!

Professor Lumiere meets Arcadia smith- madam smith! I am worried! Garth met me this morning and he told me everything!

Arcadia- everything? What do you mean professor?

Professor Lumiere relates everything Garth had told him---“ and Garth hid himself in judge Galbraith room and he heard everything!”

…”he told some funny story about test by poison…of course the whole thing sounded so absurd!

Damn! Garth know more than what I thought he knew! Arcadia thinks to herself

Professor continues- “but he can go to the police , he is gone totally mad”

Arcdia- then Lumiere you will have to stop him!

Arcadia smith exercises her full influence on professor Lumiere through the electrode planted in his brain—“ do whatever you have to bot you have to finish off Garth..that is my order!”

Lumiere- madam smith it will be done!

Arcadia- one thing more Lumiere! Till such time that Garth is dead whatever happens to you is irrelevant.

Helmuth- Arcadia, doe that od coot even has the courage to do that?

That afternoon garth has a visitor at his house-

Garth- PROFESSOR!

Lumiere- garth my dear friend humiliated you ….i  am  really sorry…

I have been thinking on your advice for a checkup and I plan to visit my doctor will you come along with me?

Garth sure I will go.. but professor won’t you have some coffee before we leave?

Lumiere- thanks Mr. Garth! But don’t rush there is plenty of time!

Garth[pouring coffee]- who is your doctor professor Lumiere?

Lumiere- mercer! A n experienced man an specialist in neurological disorders!

Lumiere picks up a kitchen knife from the table-“ so sharp! How easy it will be to thrust this in to Garth back and Arcadia will be so pleased!”

Suddenly telephone rings out shrilly and startled professor hides the knife hastily behind his back-

Garth damn! It is the telephone ringing!”

Lumiere- I will be damned! I missed the chance….

Garth- where is your doctor mercer professor… at Harley street?

Lumiere- no Garth this is a personal visit at his house at Hartford shire

Later on he is on a speeding car accompanied by Arcadia smith’s mind controlled zombie-

Professor how do you feel? Asks Garth

Lumiere deep in thought- I will cross over the road divider and crash in to that oncoming truck!
