GARTH STORY-"ROHAN LEGEND"
CONTINUATION OF 1969 HINDI GARTH STORY "रोहन गाथा " [ENGLISH TRANSLATION]---

"pig!they were here only a moment ago!"
Clare rohan ready to depart turns to Garth -"Garfield !i will remember that you refused to give me assistance!"
"and i will try to completely forget rohan!"-rejoins garth
canon comes out of his hiding place-"tim sir Garfield has saved you from capture, he had noticed the lady's gloves lying on the table" lady moll informs tim.
"thank you sir Garfield you have shown great courage!"-says Tim canon.
"hope you will oblige us by having dinner with us in my room"canon invites Garth.
"with pleasure tim!"
garth narrates strange tale of his time travel from 20th century
"an astonishing story Garth and i do believe you and if rohan is your foe we three have forged a special bond amongst ourselves"
"ever since i have kidnapped Catherine from the couch rohan is after me and now she is my wife"
"congratulations to you ,but according to the legend there is a tragic end to your love story"- responds garth.
Garth- Tim why do you risk your life being a bandit?
tim -"to rob those people who used legal trickery to grab my father's estate"
"rich bankers and lawyers who cross dover street are my victims"
"but i have never robbed any poor or honest folks!"i robbed only those blood suckers who suck the humanity dry"
"tim you will be hanged if you are captured and according to the legend you will be caught in the end!"
Catherine-tim i am frightened after listening to what sir Garfield has told us about the rohan legend, let us quit this street and escape to France.
"we will definitely go one day dear Catherine"
Tim- "i need some fresh powder thatcher! go and buy it from the market"tim asks his man servant.
"OK master!"says thatcher as he prepares to leave...
Garth-" who is this thatcher ?..Tim is he reliable?
Tim - he is my servant, he assists me in robbing the wagons, he knows that if i am captured ,he will also hang with me!

garth returns to his London home from Turks head inn --
"the same old london! and we think we have traffic problems in 1969"
in the meantime sir clare rohan is making schemes to catch the bandit tim canon
----"we have found a man named thacher who is canon's servants we can get information by bribing or torturing him"clare is being informed by his policemen
clare- very well! bring him over[here]
bo street police apprehends tim canon's man servant thatcher--
"take him with you to sir Clare's house!"
Clare- "thatcher pick your choice either help us in catching tim canon or face torture at the hands of police"
"speak!!"
thatcher- give me 50 guineas more and i will tell you!
thatcher- canon plans to raid on old kent road tonight!
Clare- tell me the exact spot you runt!
thatcher- that i can not tell you but i will warn you when he returns back to turkshead inn.
Clare- we had raided the inn to catch that ruffian , but he seemed to vanish in thin air.
thatcher- will not happen this time sir clare if you cut off his hidden escape route and i will tell you how!
thacher agrres to betray his bandit master-"we have to catch tim canon along with that dog garfield...but tell me first...
that woman Catherine.... is cannon holding her by force against her will?
thatcher-no! sir clare! she is his wife! a lovely couple indeed!
she married him? damn the wretched girl !i will get her lashed for this! thatcher take your 50 guineas and inform us at the right time!

Clare-"he and that woman are of no consequence!",the person i really want to catch is sir John Garfield ,there is something between me and him which generates so much hatred in me towards him.
that night outside turkshead inn-Garth-" where are you off to this night Tim?"
Tim- old Kent road Garfield fat cat rich merchants for jewellery on the night coach ,i will have big fish in the net.
Garth- be careful Tim!....[Garth warns Tim as he sets off on his horse]
canon- don't worry Garth ,i can look after myself!
Tim waves goodbye to Garth and Catherine as he ride off in to the night.
Garth- Catherine you should persuade Tim to quit this risky business of robbery, rohan wants to hang him so badly!
Catherine-you too ,,Garth he wants to hang you too he hates you!
Garth - i am not a bandit!clare can not harm me!
Catherine you are forgetting something, you do not belong to our time, people like Clare wield enormous powers in our times.
on old Kent road-
"no bandit will be out on the road on such a night!says the guard on the coach
"you speak in haste.... look over there! respond the wagon driver.
Tim waving a gun- o!stop this wagon! throw away that peashooter!
"do what he says i think he is..he is Tim canon ,the best sharpshooter on dover street!"
"now gentlemen ....one by one throw your valuables,jewellery and moneybags to me!"
next morning canon returns spied on by his servant thatcher-"Tim is back i should send message to sir rohan"thinks thatcher as he hands over a letter to a street urchin -"here! boy if you run fast and deliver this letter for me there is a shilling in it for you"
"i will deliver it Mr thatcher!"
thatcher greets his master tipping his hat.." good morning sir ,a good haul master canon?
canon - very good thatcher keep watch i am going inside to wake up my dear wife!

lilium lifts her spell and sailors regain consciousness
on board arcan's ship-"slave master- what is going on arcan? all of a sudden they have all recovered."
arcan- they were fooling us, whip them! we have to make up for the time lost!"
watching from the shore-"ionos look the ship is moving again!"
ionos- lilium must have changed her mind, what can you do when you work for a woman!
on the ship-nareena-"ship is moving again!garth what is happening?"
garth-nareena i think some power has overpowered lilium's powers of evil.
garth returns, accompanied by nareena reaches a dock at the edge of great desert---
nareena-farewell garth!
garth-i hope someday we will meet again.
nareena- never! Garth it seems that this whole journy of daring adventure was one strange dream.
Garth- what do you mean,it was all an illusion and not real?
nareena-"good and evil are only too real ,goodbye garth!"
an exhausted garth stumbles back through the flaming gates of fiery lands of amcra-
astra is waiting for him-
garth- astra! my love! thank you for saving me from astra's wrath and revenge!
astra- beliail was testing your physical strength and endurance, it would have been unfair , if on the top of that if you were to deal with supernatural powers of lilium.
garth confronting lord of darkness belial-" i crossed the great desert of amcra unaided and i have got the precious stone from lilium's girdle, now fulfil your promise!
devas- what is the value of word given to a mere mortal like garth of the earth?
belial- silence devas! devils like you only give a bad name to sin!
garth-well then! belial?
belial-you go back with astra and reclaim your mortal body on earth,you win this round but there will be many more such rounds yet.
garth returns to earth along with astra [to a london prison cell where his empty shell of a body is lying trussed up tied to the bed.

sir guy[continuing with story of rohan legend]- my ancestor was an expert in judging a woman's character , he chose catherine straton
clare rohan-that's it jovons ,i will marry george straton's daughter!
jovans- catherine? a beautiful grl but she is so cold and frigid!
clayer- but not for the marriage proposal, i know George does not have any money, i believe he will reason with her.
when clare's broken foot was mended-[he visits George straton]
George- rohani! it is my good fortune but i can not give you any dowry with catherine.!
clayer- to hell with your dowry...i want your daughter.. the day we are married i will payoff all your loans.... tell her i will be back in three days time for her answer.
catherine [when informed of Clare's proposal]- father i refuse to marry that scoundrel... i hate the very sight of him.
George-- catherine! listen!.. beggars do not have their own choices!
Catherine is defiant- father i shall not marry any of the rohan clan and that is my final decision!
G eorge- stubborn girl! you will not leave this room till you change your mind!
sir guy[telling his story]-catherine called a trusted man servant.......
Catherine-Jeremy! you ride on horseback to poor area of London at terk'shead inn and meet mr. cannon

inside the couch travelling to london-
clare- give me a token kiss dear catherine i do not want a boring woman for a wife , we rohans are great Casanova known for their affars of the heart!
Catherine- you are too impatient and rude sir!
coachman is suddenly confronted with a gunman on horse back- ho! stop there and handover everything you have!

horse wagon is confronted by gun wielding highwayman--- Clare leans out of couch window and exclaims-
"o god! a bandit ! take the wagon past that ruffian!"
" i dare not master! he is tim cannon ,the best pistol shot on Dover street"
"runt! take this pouch and get lost!" sir clare and catherine getting down from the wagon and are faced with tim cannon.
"keep your money sir clare! i only want Catherine!"- responds the higwayman.
"damn you cannon i will seeyou hang for this in tyburn!"- shouts sir clare gesticulating angrily shaking his fst in frustatation shouts after the fleeing bandit.
garth- so rohan, catherine and tim cannon lived happily ever after?
rohan- no garth , the story does not end there,my ancestor clare was a strong willed man! after persuing him for three months ultimately he trapped tim cannon in turkshead inn with the help of Bo street vagabonds.
Tim cannon is surrounded by gun wielding policemen at turkshead inn led by sir Clare who shouts -"arrest him!"
"sir Clare we found lady Catherine in an upstairs room tending to this sick old lady" sir Clare is informed by one of his soldiers.
" catherine!, has canon harmed you in any way? asks sir Clare.
"Tim cannon is now my husband sir Clare!" responds Catherine.
"damn you, such a slight! insult from a highway man! you should have been my wife! only mine!! -sir Clare is maddend by anger and raises his whip to strike catherine across the cheek.
sir guy rohan [telling the story to garth and lumiere]- sir clare struck Catherine on her face with his whip and then the old lady intervened, came up between them.
"you cruel monster! you have hurt this poor compassionate pretty lady, i curse you that from now on every first born of your family will bear this birh mark just like the scar of wound you inflicted on her" shouts old lady mole furiously!
sir guy rohan - "and so that is how i got that birthmark scar, a damn curse by that old bitch two centuries ago!

asks Garth-what happened to Catherine and Tim cannon?
guy rohan- "the legend says that tim cannon was hanged at tyburn, and the woman went missing"
"and your ancestor? sir clare?
"he got married one month after the incidence. later on he got killed on his hunting lodge , he never got to to see his son and heir!"
garth- but rohan what is the mysterious link between you and me?
rohan- "i am coming to that garth"
rohan- the real enemy of my ancestor was not the bandit tim cannon but his friend sir John Garfield and Garth he looked just like you!
Garth- how do you know that?
sir guy rohan- because sir clare has been reincarnated in my form !i was there and so were you!"

garth has slipped back in to the past and he is at turks head inn witnessing the raidon turkshead inn in progress by clare rohan ancestor of sir guy rohan---
warning bell is sounded-"tim soldiers have surrounded the inn .police s comming mister cannon!
innkeeper- here mr. canon you and the lady can hide in upstairs room
sir Clare rohan bursts through the door with police in toe-" in keeper i am sir Clare rohan where is that ruffian tim canon hiding?
meanwhile Garth has seen Catherine gloves lying on the table and he asks lady mole to hide them before they chance to notice them
Clare questions Garth- you Garfield! have you seen tim canon?
Garfield[garth] i am not your paid snoop! go ahead and make a search!
Clare- punishment for sheltering a fugitive bandit could be death!
Garth- do what ever you want to do rohan! i do not like your company and nor do i like your methods!
Clare raises his whip-" insulting a magistrate of the emperor?" i will show you!i will each you a lesson!!
Garth- rohan take that away otherwise would wring your fat neck!

meanwhile Garth has seen Catherine gloves lying on the table and he asks lady mole to hide them before they chance to notice them
Clare questions Garth- you Garfield! have you seen tim canon?
Garfield[garth] i am not your paid snoop! go ahead and make a search!
Clare- punishment for sheltering a fugitive bandit could be death!
Garth- do what ever you want to do rohan! i do not like your company and nor do i like your methods!
Clare raises his whip-" insulting a magistrate of the emperor?" i will show you!i will each you a lesson!!

Mr. herle- telion's agents have infiltrated in world's every terrorist organization and disruptive forces and have taken control over them.

Garth - when is this scheduled mr. herle?
herle- next month, world leaders are meeting in a conference in newyork, telion plans to assassinate all of them!...... that will be the signal.
Helicopter! it is putting down a search party
then we will trick them, Andromeda hide under the jeep... quickly!
three of them all armed to teeth, we should grab them before they can spot and hear us!
i can take care of at least one of them!garth--mr. hearle volunteers.
That is ok. Says garth, but imagine what those goons can do to you?
[meanwhile Andromeda has crept under the jeep.]
one of the security man- there is the jeep.... suddenly Garth pounce on two of the security guards from behind the trees while herle springs to grab the third.
herle catch him ,don't let him get away....shouts Garth
when the security guard tries to overpower Mr. herle Andromeda intervenes and strikes the guard from behind with a wrench!
garth- thank you Andromeda , now wait here with mr. hrle while i go for the helicopter.
andromeda- no! you will not be able to do that in time!
i will go garth, they would probably think that they you are trying to use me as a hostage,therfore they will not be suspicious.
Garth[ handing over a gun to Andromeda]- good thought! Take this as a persuasion!

Andromeda is questioned by pilot as she nears the helicopter-----
what happened to others miss Andromeda?...... they...
Andromeda- they are being taken care of..
Suddenly she pulls the gun on startled pilot -- now keep your hands off the controls ands sit don't move a muscle!
Now where to? Garth asks Andromeda holding the helicopter pilot on gun point.
Garth- to the compex i have to warn the outside world on radio
Send a radio transmission to your colleagues that you had to return because of engine trouble and make you voice sound trustworthy instructs Garth to helicopter pilot when they are airborne.
ther eis huge drop of three miles from here , you have been indifferent and sullen all this time ,i do not want that you should catch pneumonia.-- Garth threatens the pilot with gun on his temple!
pilot- ok Mr. Garth i will land you safely.
hensen is returning to base with a defective engine.
We are over the top of telion's control complex that must be the radio transmitter land us on the roof-- Garth orders the captive pilot
Pilot- but it is not safe if we slip we will crash.
Garth- how will you know unless you try? now land!
a dangerous touchdown and then--
Now we have to reach the transmission room where is it Andromeda?
On ground floor.
Garth [handing over the gun to agent herle]- here take this and stay with the pilot till we are not back!
but first we shall wrack his radio so that he is not able to communicate and ask for help
Garth opens the sky light while Andromeda is lowered down- " you go first Andromeda that will douse their suspicions, don’t worry i will be right behind!

suddenly the radio operator is grabbed from behind by Garth who smothers his voice by clamping his iron hands on his mouth—“ that talk can wait son”
make contact on this wave length .. I will be doing all the talking…. But don’t try to be claver otherwise you will suffer- Garth orders the radio operator showing him a piece of paper with the message he wants transmitted.
Garth’s message reaches a cottage near rural London----at the head quarters of British intelligence agency—
“ a special call for sir john westerland from someone calling him self garth , says it is very important sir”
Sir john westerland confers with his officials—
“garth is trapped in south America in some mr. telion’s place… we have recorded a message from him … listen to this sir”
“john I have to finish this call now, please take immediate action on telion ,telion is an eccentric dangerous power and hungry man”—end of Garth’s message….
“telion is trying to murder world leaders in newyork?,riots will break out.. this is a nightmare!
“This is not garth’s message!”
We have prepared a dossier of telion’s activities, but this is unbelievable! could this be a hoax?
“This is not a hoax sir , we have been warned !”
In the control complex of telion radio-operator is lying unconscious –
Andromeda- what do you think garth could this man have overheard your message?
Garth – how could he Andromeda I had knocked living daylights out of him?”
Verw well! That is done now! We should get out of here and reach the helicopter says Garth dragging Andromeda along with him out of the radio room ,
But on the roof Mr. herle commits a deadly mistake his attention is diverted as he is anxious that they have been spotted “for heaven’s sake garth1 make haste , those men down there seem to have noticed that something is wrong” he thinks while looking for Garth , taking advantage of his distraction copter pilot hit him on the head with a heavy wrench from behind and mr. herle falls out of the chopper with a bold curdling cry and plunges to his death.
