continuation of[ english translation ] of garth story -the wakening]
i have to thank mr bay yeralti[mr yer6] of teskin. blogspot.com who provided me with complete daily strips of this[serb language] story which i have been posting on my blogs [in hindi not quite complete though]] and trying to provide english version, here i have taken the missing strips from serb version of the story and have tried to translate as best as i could on the basis of art work and my old childhood memories of the story line--

Garth and lumiere find johny warren’s gang’s hideout
deserted , however they search the hurriedly vacated premises for clues and
garth spots a scrap of paper from a wastepaper basket bearing a list of names
amongst whom he finds two familiar names con flannery and micky grear who are
hardened criminals serving life term for
heinous crimes like murder and armed robbery
Professor lumiere is puzzled what is thorblen upto in company of such criminals who are locked away for life?
Garth suddenly realizes that thorblen wants to spring these
criminals out of jail for committing some atrocious crime .he asks professor to
contact Scotland yard .
Later on at Scotland
yard garth reveals his apprehensions to
police superintendent and request him to
lock him up in the cell of con flannerry and micky grear on some pretext as garth wants to be present when thorblen
sets his evil plan in motion by following
these jailbird after the jailbreak.
Garth’s plan is set into motion and police puts him as a
criminal under trial in the same cell as flannery and greer at pantonville
jail.
Thorblen is observing pentonville jail facility in London—so
they keep their life sentenced criminals here? Ha! Our facility at ishran was
much tougher.he seems to scoff at so called high security penitentiary.
Thorblen uses his amazing powers and communicates with two
criminals seemingly speaking directly in to their minds, they are informed that
shortly they are going to be sprung from jail and to plug their ears to protect
them from debilitating ultrasonic waves which are beyond endurance of human eardrums
and which are going to be used by thorblen on prison guards to temporarily immobilize
them.
Garth is watching flannerry and greer slip in to a trance
like state and realizes that thorblen ‘s plan has been set in motion and pretending to be dozing he overhears flnnery
telling excitedly that they are to be taken out of prison who is sushed into
silence by greer who admonishes him for
being indiscreet.

Garth watches flannery and greer plugging their ears and
decides to do the same. outside the prison walls thorblen orders johny warren
to keep the car engine running till he comes back with the prisoners
Thorblen uses his occult powers to generate ultrasound
waves beyond the tolerance of human
ear, noice of motor engine running is magnified manifold prison guards are
continuously bombarded with this relentless sound frequency , till they find
their ears and brains almost split open and are writhing in agony and thorblen
taking advantage of the confused helpless guards enters the cell of flannery &greer who are being watched by garth when
they follow thorblen running out in to the corridor, garth follows discreetly keeping in shadows and when they
burst out of prison doors garth asks thorblen to take him along with others he
is halted by the warren gang when they brandish pistols at him telling thorblen
that he was not one of their own gang members.however thorblen watches garth
shrewdly and instinctively feels the power and intelligence different from
other humans he had encountered till then , he admonishes warren and decides to
take garth aboard.
Car carrying garth
and escaped felons reaches a farmhouse hidden away in woods where garth meets
many escaped convicts who have been sprung from other prisons and are passing
time having drinks and renewing anecdotes of their escapades in the past
while waiting for the orders from their benefactor.

Thorblen inspects his
bunch of cutthroats when he is informed
by johny warren that all the criminals as desired by him had now assembled
under one roof and were waiting for orders thorblen
asks warren to let them rest for the night and he will be revealing his
big plans for them in due course of time ,garth goes to bed sharing the same
dormitory in company of flannery and
greer and wonders what happens next .what thorblen is up to with this group of
losers?
While thorblen is
having good time with johny warren’s girl disiere who is trying to please him
and is terrified by what thorblen might be planning next., at the same time
garth is watching two escaped convicts late in the night who have not met their
people in very long time planning to make a getaway, he decides to follow them
and utilize the time to sneak away and telephone professor lumiere as to the
progress made,but escape does not go unnoticed as thorblen is watching from a
window and is furious at seeing flannery and greer escape he decides to teach
them a lesson and using his occult power of the ring of sycultra he invokes
demonic powers which turns two small harmless squirrels in to huge monstrous
creatures.dizrie is also watching horrified standing at the window by the side
of thorblen , what have you done to them?” I have enlarged them and given them
ferociousness of a tiger. Now the fun begins, watch!”
Garth is following the two criminals when suddenly greer
spots the horrible creature[giant squirrel and before flannery
could take any action a snarling brute jumps at him and knocks him down, Garth
picks up a garden bench in his powerful arms and calls out to greer to escape
while he prepares to tackle the huge brute with the steel bench.

CONTINUATION OF GARTH STORY "MIRACLE GLENOIG" ENGLISH TRANSLATION

The monstrous beast has wrecked the car of picnicking couple
and has gone back to his lair in depths of waters in glenoig lake , after an
hour a group of local villagers find the wreckage of the car—“the car has been
wrecked twisted and torn badly”
“There is blood on the grass this must surely be the
handiwork of monster”
Jane and Garth are in a car heading towards Lake Glenoig—
Jane- professor lumiere and I are so busy yet you insist on taking me to see an
imaginary monster”
Garth “if villagers are telling the truth Jane, we are about
to witness a surprising thing”
Jane- :”dear garth what is the point in justifying the
existence of a thing which is impossible to exist there”?
Garth – it will be a miracle…
Oh... There is police at the bank of lake
Garth –what has happened officer?
Policeman can’t really be sure sir , there is a broken down
car without a driver!
Jane –“is this not a matter of calling a tow truck to move
this wreckage?”
Garth- to tow this?
This is almost torn to shreds and there are continuous marks
from here up to the lake
Jane –“there has to be a logical explanation for that
wrecked car, blood stains and that trail up to the banks of lake”
Garth –“jane look over there down there by the water’s
edge!”
There is a huge paw mark on the water’s edge!
Jane-“no living animal is known to leave such a foot print!”
Garth- come Jane let us move before press photographers
arrive on the scene.
Garth and Jane are going round the lake glenoig in their
car…”everything seems so peaceful! You know what I don’t really think that
there is a monster in that lake”
Garth- probably people in that house may have seen
something”
And fate brings Garth and Jane to the hunting lodge where
two of the eddy’s gang are watching them from first floor window-------
Nick- “ duchy a
“bird” and a big man are headed this
way”

Duchy- you are drunk .. remember what eddy sid—quietly send
any wanderers on their way
Nick-oh duchy …but the bird is so pretty.. iif only we get to talk to her…
we have not seen any ‘bird’ in a very long time…
Duchie addressing garth and professor mery whether---“this
is a private property”
Garth- we know , we just stoppedby to get some information
Nick-“you herd him now
scoot… broad can stay”
Garth and jane are astonished , an enraged garth lunges and
hits nick with a powerful punch of his fist…”forgotten even the normal curtsies
?”
As soon as a drunk nickie is knocked down to the ground,
duchy comes forward to fight but he is hit in his solar plexus by jane hitting
out with her outstretched right leg to duchy’s midriff.
Garth—thanks for your help.
Jane-after spending two years on an American campus a girl
knows how to defend herself.
…….why did they pounce on us?
Garth—probably they were inebriated ,that combined with your
good looks did it… come let us walk round the lake a little bit more.
Jane-- what are these two city goons doing cooped up in this
wooded hilly area. And no funny answers please.
Garth – jane wait a minute!
Jane –what did you find?
Garth lying prone on his back near water’s edge spots a
cargo van sunk I in to the waters
of lake glenoig –“a cargo van down there in the waters and from the looks of it
it has not been there for a very long time”
… a van in deep waters, two tough goons in the hills it is
all so curious…. Come Jane we will come back at night.
“I will bring some equipment from Glasgow for scuba diving
to reach that vehicle in the water.
Jane- bring some for me too I have also done a lot of scuba
diving during my stint at California
Garth , is there something
which you cannot do?
LINDON- newspaper hawkers are selling evening

One of eddy macmanas ‘s boys buys the newspaper and after
going through the news item hurried off to tell his boss eddy who is having a
good time with a female company.—“eddy!
soldiers and press reports are reaching the spot where we have buried our gold!”

It says here there is a monster in the Glenoig Lake…nonsense!
What will happen to our god hidden in the lake eddy?
Eddy- there is no telephone at the hunting lodge, and I cannot
send them any telegrams tonight we will go there…
It is midnight Garth
and Jane arrive on banks of lake glenoig attired in scuba diving suits….
Garths—are you afraid that we will find a monster in the
lake?
Jane- not as a scientist, but as a woman……
Here is the motor vehicle, it seems quite new ,number plate
seems to be scratched thinks garth as he and jane are examining sunken van at the bottom of
lake…
They come out to the surface—
Jane- what do we do now?
Garth – I made some enquiries in the village, that hunting
lodge over there is rented out to some Londoners
Jane you stay here, I will investigate the boat house, and
if I find anything I will give you a signal!
In the boat house –there is an iron cable tied to the docks…
I wonder what is at the other end of the cable
60 feet down---eh? an iron box probably it has something in
common with sunken motor van
Garth is lost in thoughts while examining the big iron box
at the bottom of the lake when suddenly te gigantic beast floats above him eying
him malevolently …
Suddenly garth looks up—“so that is the beast from 10 million
years ago?
Oh it seems to have spotted me! And it is following me
As garth moves up and away the best who is pursuing him
suddenly collides with thick iron cable snapping it in the process
In the boat house loud cracking noise of iron cable snapping
is herd by two goons in the boat house….
What was that duchy?
It came from the boat house, nick pick up your gun!

Garth is having an evening out in London enjoying himself in
restaurant with drinks and female company
Lady- you know you are seen only off and on these days, what
are you doing with yourself these days?
Garth- if I tell you,-- you won’t believe me
Lady – nobody can keep you down, can they dear?
Garth spotting Alek bell who is a detective-excuse me for
minute I have spotted an acquaintance, will be back soon..
Garth meets detective Alek bell- you look disturbed worried
alek, have they put you back on patrolling?
Sometimes I wish they would do that-says the detective
Some miscreants have robbed 10 million pounds worth of
bullion
……from a trans atlantic airplane. My train leaves at
midnight want to come with me?
Garth- sorry alek .but I have a date tonight
A train up to Scotland?
At midnight? I have still enough time to catch it –garth is thinking with the
girl in his arms on dance floor
Lady-“you seem lost in your own thoughts.. what is bothering
you dear?
Garth has escorted the lady back to her apartments
Lady –“it was an enjoyable evening, how can I thank you?
Garth leaning on her taking her in his arms and kissing her
lips-“like this”
Lady invites garth to come in and have a drink, garth
[looking at his watch declines politely,--“not this time ...i just remembered, I have a job to do.” I
have to leave quickly
Girl [disappointed] “what a hunk...if only he could be free
of his work..
Garth reaches train station where detective bell is surprise
to see him-“I thought..
Garth- I have changed my mind alek ,proff lumiere is in
Scotland I will give him surprise

Eddy MacManus and his gang has reached Lake Glenoiig—
“What is that hut like thing eddy?”
I have rented this for
our work now unload that gold and come to the boat house, we will hide this
gold in the lake-instructs eddy.
The big crate holding gold bullion is slowly lowered by a
thick metal chain on pulley in to the depths of loch glenoig-“is everything ready,
we shall hide it there till the things cool down a little...”
Eddy- take that van, on the knoll, we will hold it when you
can slowly release the breaks
“Let it go”
The van is plunged into the depths of lake waters
Eddy MacManus gang has both the gold and the van in the
depths of glenoig waters---“only nick and duchy will remain here , rest will
accompany me back to London-“ says eddy
“You two will remain here and will be watchmen of this
building, see that no undesirable bums wander in here, but no hanky panky! Ok?”Eddy
confronts nick and eddy .
Very well eddy-they meekly respond!
Nick will stay here will there be any “birds?” around here
boss?
There will be.. here they will be wearing skirts and probably shave their beards.
Garth reaches a village near loch glenoig in Scotland—
Professor lumiere? He
is at the excavation site , will not be back till late in the night—he is
informed
No matter, will
find him out myself-says garth
Garth meets professor lumiere- hello proff! How are you did
you find anything useful?
Come Garth you are welcome, so happy to see you, how did you
reach here?
Lumiere- we have made some progress that spearhead and shard
of pottery are most certainly roman
Garth spotting a lady

Jane- giant monster!
What nonsense!
Garth- ok jane I dare you , tomorrow we go to glenoig lake.
Jane- I cannot desert lumiere
Lumiere no! you go, you deserve some rest after hard
work at the excavation site
Jane[turning to Garth] – you have embroiled me in to this ..
Garth- no Jane even a dumbest scientist would not let go of
this chance to solve such a riddle!
Next morning an
elderly couple is picnicking on lake banks—
Lady- but villagers
say…
Man- oh gwen who would believe this , there is no monster in
the lake-let us eat and drink!
Monster emerges from the lake….
Man continues-“ they must be wanting to monopolize thee
place for themselves and to keep us away they spread such canards!
Lady-[horrified at seeing the beast emerging behind her
husband’s back] SCREAMS—ERNIE…O…MY GOD!
